Konark area has a vast potential for groth as a major tourist complex. It is an international tourist place. Daily more than thousands of tourists ate congregating here to enjoy the ancient architectural monuments of the Sun Temple and seashore as well as the Sunrise at Chandrabhaga. Considering the importance of the place and to attract the tourists coming from all over the World, the Government have decided to make this international tourist Place to a small town, by taking some revenue village around the Sun Temple.
